The Industry's First Integrated EV Charging Management

Understanding that Electric Vehicles are becoming a truly viable choice for fleets of all kinds, Multiforce launched FuelForce/EV™, the fuel management industry's first integrated power management system that allows for the management of electricity as a “standard fuel”. Fleets of all sorts are adopting EVs or making plans to adopt EVs into service. However, until Multiforce introduced the patented FuelForce/EVTM platform, there was no integrated system to manage the electricity used to charge ("fuel") EVs as a standard fleet fuel.

Fleet managers now have at their fingertips the ability to manage the charging & fueling authorization and administration of all fleet vehicle types, all from a single interface. Energy costs for fleets, including those with EVs, are now available from a single dashboard, with the industry's most powerful cloud-based administration and reporting.

Managing Electricity as a “Standard Fuel"

FuelForce/EV™ is a made up of both hardware and software components to provide a robust fuel/energy management solution. The hardware centers around the controller, the FuelForce 814-EV. The controller provides verification and authentication to allow charging and to monitor and track the charging transaction. Once complete, the transaction is logged at the controller, capturing power consumption for electric vehicle charging by vehicle, driver, site, or department and can include the various utility billing tiers.

The FuelForce 814-EV Advanced Power Controller allows drivers to utilize a keypad, key fob, proximity card, or an RFID-based automated identification approach to authorize and control the dispensing of electricity to fleet electric vehicles. As that power is dispensed, each transaction is logged and the system collects accurate and valuable usage and vehicle data for power accounting and fleet maintenance.

Integration of EV charging transactions with a fleets other fueling transactions is the primary benefit of the FuelForce/EVTM system. The FuelForce Fuel Management System can be implemented in stages, allowing you to add EV charging sites in sequence as EV adoption in your fleet increases.

FuelForce/EV™ Standard Configuration

The 814-EV sits between the electrical panel and the EV chargers. Circuits are run from the panel to the chargers. A seprate low voltage control circuit is run between the 814-EV and the chargers, as noted in the diagram below. Each 814-Ev can support a total of 64+ charging circuits, providing access control and submetering and gathering of charging statistics.

Integrated Reporting

The FuelForce software platform polls the 814-EV and other FuelForce controllers in its network and aggregates all of the charging as well as fueling data. Our patented ability to provide the data for EV charging data alongside the fueling data for all other types of fuels is indeed unique in the industry. Total fuel and power costs can be calculated and assessed to sites, departments, or even drivers, regardless of vehicle type, EV or otherwise.
